Becca and Johnny become entangled after a car crash steals the lives of two people they love. Officially, the crash is an accident. But Becca and Johnny are convinced: someone did this.

As they plot revenge against the person responsible, a bond—intense, unyielding, and manic—takes hold of them. And in an unexpected turn of events, they fall for each other.

Or so they think.

In an upside-down world where decay is beautiful and love and hate become one, Becca and Johnny find themselves grappling with reality. Nothing is exactly what it seems, including what they've come to believe about the crash. Question is: will they learn the truth before it's too late?

No. The question is: when they learn the truth, will they care?

About Dawn Klehr:

Dawn Klehr is the author of the young adult thrillers: The Cutting Room Floor and If You Wrong Us.

She began her career in TV news and though she’s been on both sides of the camera, she prefers to lurk behind the lens. Mostly, she loves to get lost in stories – in film, the theater, or on the page – and is a sucker for both the sinister and the sappy. She’s currently channeling her dark side as she works on her next book.

Dawn lives in the Twin Cities with her funny husband, adorable son, and naughty dog.

My Interview with Dawn

Hi Dawn, thank you for joining us today.
Thanks, for having me Rainne!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Sure, I’d be happy to share a little about myself. Let’s see, I spend my days as a mom and a writer. I live in the Twin Cities with my husband, son, and a Tibetan terrier named Piper. We love to travel, run, read, and watch movies.

When did you start writing for publication, what made you decide to put your work out there to be read by others?
I’ve always made my living writing in one way or another. I started in broadcast journalism, both writing my own stories and writing copy for the anchors on TV news programs. I later went on to marketing and public relations. I always wanted to write a novel and played around for many years, but once my son was born my creative juices really began to flow. And once I decided to make a commitment to it, things progressed from there. It’s been amazing.

Who or what has helped you become a better writer over time?
The work is what makes you better, honestly. Just putting the time in. Critique groups can also help. And, of course, going through the publication process with agents and editors. I still do writing activities, still go to classes, still read craft books. I’ll never stop learning.

When you consider your future, what would you like to make happen for you?
I love the way you phrased this question. We do make things happen for ourselves, don’t we? For my future, I just want more of the same. More writing, more book deals, more readers who enjoy my work. And my family and friends who put up with all of it!

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
IF YOU WRONG US is the name of my new book and my editor actually came up with the title. It’s from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice.

Can you tell us anything about any of your current work(s)-in-progress?
I have two YA projects fighting for attention right now. They have strong romantic threads, but are both thriller-ish. One has some magical realism in it that is really fun. The other? Serial killers.
What about your previous books, tell us a bit about them and how we can get our hands on them.
The Cutting Room Floor is my debut YA novel. It’s another thriller told from the point of view of a budding filmmaker and his muse. It’s creepy and sweet and sad and scary. That book is currently available at all e-tailers and some bookstores. I have links on my website: dawnklehrbooks.com

Where can we find you to tell you how amazing we think you are?
I’m on Facebook and Twitter @dawnklehr and on my website: dawnklehrbooks.com. Come on over! I love chatting with readers!!
